The CM or Community Manager is the person in charge of internet communities, whether online, digital or virtual. This task is part of the Social Media Marketing strategy.

Possibly they help to develop all those skills that are needed but if you want to make this your profession you will have to use yourself more thoroughly and prepare yourself. Community Manager Skills

Since it is a very disciplined profession, to be successful as a Community Manager you must have at least these six skills.

  • Patience. It is possible that you may meet a client who is not completely satisfied, for this you must remain calm and be patient. Be prepared to receive complaints and not take them personally.
  • Creativity. To create interesting and high quality content we are going to have to have this skill. We have to get people to enjoy what they are reading and get hooked on our writing, we will achieve this with creativity and understandable messages.
  • Organization. To carry out this task we will need to be very organized since normally a community manager carries more than one project at a time. You have to know how to organize yourself and meet the deadlines in a disciplined way.
  • Empathy. Empathy is going to be essential to support clients. We will have to have the ability to understand the public, only in this way will we know what they need our brand to offer them.
  • Data analytics. With them we can execute a plan of objectives and analyze if we are carrying them out.
  • Loyalty to the brand. We cannot be a good Community Manager if we do not believe in what we are offering. It is essential to believe 100% in a product, brand or company for which you are working, your confidence will make users have it too.
