Snapchat, the ghost social network, has just introduced for the first time Public Profiles for Businesses meant to help brands execute their organic presence on its platform.

The launch of Public Profiles for Businesses aims to give different brands the ability to group their organic Snapchat content in one visible place and connect with their customers by highlighting useful and engaging content.

Snapchat will allow businesses to showcase AR experiences and share products that can be purchased directly within the Snapchat app. Also, Snapchatters will be able to subscribe to businesses’ various profiles to stay up to date with new content, product launches and more!

Snapchatters can find brands through the search bar, by mentions, Discover, Lens Explorer and through Snapchat ads.

What are Snapchat public profiles for businesses?

Snapchat’s new public profiles for businesses give brands a place to collect all of their content, provide branded media, connect directly with their brand and even host an online store with endless products.

To help businesses create all of this content, the archives are linked to web and mobile management tools through Business Manager.

Most importantly, all of these functions are linked to the company’s brand information and analytics to help it improve its information and content at any time.

We should not forget that in recent years, Snapchat has been constantly expanding its audience. Thanks to this new feature, Snapchat wants to reach out to businesses and provide them with a new avenue of communication.

Key features of a public profile

Public stories

Sharing what’s happening in the business can help create a deeper connection with the Snapchat community.

AR Lenses

Posting the lens on the business profile is going to ensure that all Snapchat users, also known as “Snapchatters” can discover the most immersive augmented reality experience.

Once linked to a profile, these lenses can also be viewed through Snapchat search and the lens browser.

Highlights.

Permanently displaying the company’s best public snaps, stories, photos and videos for users who are unfamiliar with the brand is the best way to learn about the business, products and services they offer.

Native store

Linking the Shopify store on business profiles on Snapchat helps Snapchat users browse, try, and buy through the “shop” feature, turning Snapchat into a new point of sale.

How to set up a public profile for a business

Sign in or create a business account on Snapchat.

If a business has already posted an ad on Snapchat, all they need to do is log in to their business admin account.

In case it does not have any business account on Snapchat, the business needs to create an account with the account login information in Snapchat Ads Manager. After logging in, it must select “Public information”.

Profile creation

In this step, the business must set up a new username or connect to an existing profile. Next, you should provide any other business information to help others understand your work.

Adding content

The last step is to start populating the company profile with suitable content that should stimulate user interest and drive engagement, such as sharing photos, posting new stories and creating highlights for people to engage with, messages and content at any time.
