Live Streaming is the real-time transmission of a video that is also being recorded. By broadcast we mean any type of them, be it a boxing match, a news program or even a video surveillance camera. In its early days, Live Streaming was used mainly by news networks such as the BBC, thus increasing its ability to reach more audiences. Later some social networks added it as one more functionality.

When it emerged it was a bit limited since getting enough bandwidth was very expensive and also there was not a great variety of smartphones. This made it practically impossible for most users to enjoy this type of content. But as everything in life has evolved today, it is already common to use the mobile for this type of visualization.

A peculiarity of Live Streaming was that the communication was done unilaterally. In other words, you could see a live show but you couldn’t participate in it in any way. But immediately social networks took care of this problem and made this communication two-way. In this way, users can interact with the live that we are seeing in the form of messages through a chat. Thus the announcer while transmitting can read the messages that the viewer is sending and respond to them in real time.

Thanks to Live Streaming, many companies have a new way of connecting with their customers, being one more digital marketing tool. In fact, using it in digital commerce is a great advantage to attract online sales. If a brand wants to increase its diffusion and thus attract the largest number of users, it must promote this type of advertising event with real-time transmissions.
